Youth music evening!

I know it's pretty late but I thought it would be good to let the world know about how brilliant the youth in and around Uffculme are!

On the 11th of December 2011 Squarefish hosted a youth Open-Mic evening and we had young people from Hemioch, Sampford Peverell, Halberton, Uffculme and Willand come and entertain us with their musical gifts. We had pianists, guitarists, singers, drummers, a bassist and even a Ukulele player! (Ukulele-ist???)

We started with some Carols because it was nearly Christmas and everyone loves carols. None of the young people who played accompaniment to that carols had practised them before but when we started playing, everything went well and everyone loved it. We then went on to have the young people play their songs and pieces and everyone had a thoroughly brilliant time.
Thanks to Robin Budgell we had some really cool lighting and enough amplifiers to make some serious noise! Altogether we had 7 speakers pumping out some s
eriously high quality music!

For all those who came to play,  a VERY big thank you indeed! It wouldn't have been the same without you! It was brilliant to finally hear you guys play your instruments! Keep practising and getting better!

SPOILER ALERT!! There is going to be another live music night soon! Sunday May 27th! If you are play music or sing or feel like dancing to someone else's music then GET PRACTISING! Also, if you want to play on the night then you will need to sign up! Email me:
