This year, twelve Squarefish organised a trip to Soul Survivor and persuaded Rev Selina and Helen to join them! We were also joined by Adrian and two other sixth formers from Wellington School and camped beside St Andrew’s Church Cullompton - so our group kept growing and it was wonderful to catch up with old friends and make lots of new ones. The teaching was on relationships and we were inspired and challenged to think about our closest friendships and relationships and to invite God’s love to be at the centre of these.
God moved powerfully in us all in all sorts of different ways both during the meetings and as we shared and wrestled with issues together throughout the week. Being in a tent with 8,000 young people worshiping God is an amazing experience and there was time for lots of fun and shared meals. It did rain a lot but we fitted an extraordinary number of people into Selina’s awning and thanks to Richard and Julian who set everything up so wonderfully for us all we all stayed dry and happy!
